A crash between two cars in the northern province of Ha Giang on February 29 left four dead and three injured.
According to Vi Xuyen District chairman Luong Van Doan,the accident happened when a car which was travelling on National Highway from Ha Giang to Tuyen Quang Province crashed into another running in the opposite direction.

The smash killed four people in the car heading towards Tuyen Quang, including one child. All the passengers in the other car were injured.
The road section was deserted where the accident occurred. Local police and authorities are identifying the victims and further investigating the accident.
On the same day, a driver of a car lost control of his vehicle and hit and killed three people, including a six year-old child, in Hanoi’s Long Bien District.
The country registered 22,404 accidents (down 11.5%), 8,671 deaths (down 11.5%) and 3,861 injuries (down 15.8%) last year compared with 2014.
Vietnam has set a target to reduce the rate of traffic accidents by 5% to 10 percent by 2020 and traffic fatalities to around 5,000 cases
