Government continues to provide rice to provinces in need

PM Nguyen Tan Dung has instructed the Ministry of Finance to supply free of charge 3,592 tonnes of rice to the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien and Lang Son.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has instructed the Ministry of Finance to supply free of charge 3,592 tonnes of rice from national reserves to the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien and Lang Son to support the locals.

The decision came out before a period when rice stock in the provinces becomes low.

The Prime Minister had earlier decided to provide over 22,800 tonnes of rice of national reserves to the provinces of Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Kon Tum, Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Dak Lak, Cao Bang, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Lao Cai and Ha Tinh for the same reason.
