“Each Cabinet member must uphold the sense of responsibility and closely monitor the real situation in order to produce effective policy interventions,” said PM Dung.
One of the challenges that PM Dung referred to is severe drought in central provinces and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta-the country’s biggest rice granary.
The PM requested inferior levels to provide timely assistance to those residents and develop plans to shift production in the aforesaid regions.

PM Dung also asked for strengthening trade promotion, expanding export markets, accelerating administrative reforms, improving investment environment and the competitiveness of the economy.
Government to issue new resolution on business environment
As part of the meeting agenda, the Cabinet members debated on the implementation of the Resolution No.19/NQ-CP dated March 12,2015 on major tasks and solutions for improving th2015-2016.
PM Dung revealed that the Government will issue another resolution for the period 2016-2016, vision to 2020 with specific assignments delegated to each ministry and agency. He called on the Cabinet members to continue commenting on the draft version, especially the content relating to the reform of administrative procedures.
“We have made progress in reforming administrative procedures but citizens and businesses are still not satisfactory with the capacity and ethics of civil servants,” said PM Dung while demanding stronger application of information technology and deployment of tasks enshrined in the Resolution No. 36a/NQ-CP on e-Government.
PM Dung also asked for strict control of State budget revenues and spending in association with measures to counter smuggling, trade fraud, and tax evasion.
He urged inferior levels to make more drastic efforts in restructuring the economy, realizing the strategic breakthroughs and the national target program on new-style rural development.
PM Dung took the occasion to thank the Government members and head of agencies for advocating him to successfully implement tasks assigned by the Party and State over the two tenures.
PM Dung will leave the office early next month as the National Assembly will approve the candidates for the State President, the Prime Minister and the National Assembly Chairman.
