A girl in Dak Nong Province is calling for help for her grandfather whose health has worsened after struggling to raise three grandchildren after their parents died.
Pham Van Dat, 77, has been to hospitals several times because of various illnesses. Despite weak health, Dat still works every day for his grandchildren.

Dat's son and daughter-in-law died during a traffic accident in 2011, leaving behind three children. At that time, the oldest child was only 12 years old. Dat did every odd job he could and earned some money from the small field to pay for his grandchildren's tuition.
"They wanted to drop out of school but I told them I would take care of them as long as I live. In my generation, poverty prevented many people from going to school so I want them to study and have a better future," he said.
Dat is an Agent Orange victim with very weak health and two strokes in early 2021 made his condition turn for the worse.
Ha, the youngest grandchild, is taking care of Dat in their dilapidated house that couldn't protect them from strong winds. She is in 12th grade while her sisters have gone to university. Their acquaintances, relatives and neighbours then helped buy some canvas to cover up the house.
"I want to be able to repay and take care of him. So in the meantime, I'll study hard for the upcoming high school graduation and university entrance exams," Ha said.
