Friendship medal conferred on Chinese ambassador to Vietnam
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong has been awarded with the medal ‘For the cause of Peace and Friendship among Nations’ by Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong.

At a conferral ceremony on February 2, VUFO’s Vice President Phong said that the outgoing Chinese ambassador has made significant contributions to strengthening the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China during his tenure.
Meanwhile, he expressed his belief that the Chinese ambassador would continue to promote Vietnam-China relations in any role he takes on in the future.
For his part, Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong said that the nearly four years he has worked in Vietnam have been an important time of his diplomatic career.
The Ambassador also expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the VUFO and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association for their cooperation in the recent past.
