Four Italy ODA-funded healthcare projects approved

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved four healthcare projects using ODA from Italy.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved four healthcare projects using ODA from Italy.

One project is to increase the capacity of training, scientific research and medical examination and treatment at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Another project aims to upgrade infrastructure facilities of the healthcare sector in Quang Tri province. Third project is to improve healthcare services in Thua Thien Hue and fourth one is to increase healthcare capacity in Quang Nam province.

In addition, the PM has also approved the project to reduce the use of incandescent bulbs, funded by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) with a total cost of US$3 million as non-refundable aid.

Mr. Dung asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment to act as a project investor, sign necessary documents with the GEF, and collaborate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and relevant agencies on implementation.
