A 23-year-old English tourist have gone missing while climbing Fansipan Mountain in the northern province of Lao Cai on June 3.
Deputy director of Lao Cai Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Dinh Dung, said that they have co-operated with the Hoang Lien National Park to mobilise people for a search for Aiden Shaw Webb but have yet to find him by 10pm on June 6.

The department said that Webb had a visa dated from May 12 to June 12 and had travelled with his girlfriend. They arrived in Sapa on June 2 and stayed at the QT Hotel.
At 6am on June 3, Aiden Shaw Webb started to climb the Fansipan following the cable-car system. He remained in contact with his girlfriend through Facebook. At 6pm, he sent her a message saying that he had fallen down a waterfall and hurt his knees and hands. They lost contact at 6am on June 4.
Lao Cai Province's People Committee have sent a rescue team to find the young tourist.
Mount Fansipan is 3,143 metres tall and is a popular destination for mountain climbers in Sapa District.
Dung warned that tourists should be accompanied by experienced guides while climbing the mountain.
