Elections results announced for several provinces, cities

The results of the elections to the 2011-2016 term of the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels were announced in some provinces and cities.

The results of the elections for deputies to the 2011-2016 term of the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels were announced in some provinces and cities around the country on May 27.

The Election Committee of Hanoi made public the May 22 election results on May 27. Voters cast their ballots at 30 polling stations across the city to elect 95 out of 156 deputies to the municipal People\'s Council. 23 female deputies (or 24.21%), one ethnic minority candidate (1.05%), seven non-Party members (7.37%), and three candidates under 35 years old (3.16%) were elected. There is one dignitary and 24 re-elected candidates or 25.26%.

* On the same day, the election results were announced by the Quang Binh provincial Election Committee. The province had a total voter turnout of 99.42% and, notably, 100% of registered voters in 123 out of 159 communes and wards cast their ballots on Election Day.

Statistics show that six deputies were elected to the 13th NA, 50 deputies to the provincial People\'s Council, 148 deputies to the district People\'s Council (minus one deputy) and 3,947 deputies to the People\'s Councils at commune level (minus 106 deputies).

* The Election Committee of Dak Lak province on May 27 also declared their results, with 99.89% of voters going to the polls.

* Quang Nam and Binh Thuan provinces announced the results for deputies to their provincial People\'s Councils for the 2011-2016 term. In Quang Nam, 58 out of 102 candidates were elected to the provincial People\'s Council while in Binh Thuan, 52 candidates were elected from a total of 87.
