Egypt's Minister of Investment, Mahmoud Mohieldin will visit with senior government officials and businessmen in Hanoi during his 4 day itinerary. On the agenda are a wide range of topics including: financial services, construction, transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals, communications and information technology, food industries and tourism.

The visit is aimed at boosting the economic and investment cooperation of Egypt and Vietnam and to present potential investment opportunities to the Egyptian delegation. The Vietnamese government invited the Egyptian delegation after a recent meeting in Cairo.

Egypt’s favorable free trade agreements and its competitive cost of doing business have opened a huge potential market for East Asian countries. The unique strategic location of Egypt as a re-export hub with its proximity to the main markets only adds to its global competitiveness.

The two governments are looking for ways to enhance bilateral ties. There are significant opportunities for cooperation in the areas of infrastructure development as well as in fisheries, food industries and pharmaceutical industries.
