The Vietnamese Government welcomes and facilitates Swedish businesses’ investments in Viet Nam, especially in such areas as green and clean technology, processing, renewable energy, health and maritime economics.

The Deputy PM also welcomed Sweden’s establishment of Trade Councils in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City and launch of direct air route from Stockholm to Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang to attract more Swedish visitors to Viet Nam.
Sweden is a key trade partner of Viet Nam in the EU with the two-way trade turnover of US$1.2 billion in 2016, he stressed.
The Vietnamese leader suggested the two sides strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-ranking ones, effectively realize the political consultation between the two ministries of foreign affairs and support each other at international and regional forums, including the UN, ASEM and ASEAN-EU.
For his side, the Ambassador affirmed that Sweden attaches importance to the cooperative relations with Viet Nam, especially in the fields of science-technology, education-training, and health.
The diplomat also voiced support for signing and implementing the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
He asserted to do his utmost to enhance the two nations’ relationship more intensively and effectively in the future.
