Dantri/DTiNews readers have donated a total VND290.5 million (USD1,260) for a poor family in the central province of Ha Tinh where the mother is facing serious depression.

Dantri/DTiNews readers have donated a total VND290.5 million (USD1,260) for a poor family in the central province of Ha Tinh where the mother is facing serious depression.

Bui Thi Tham is the youngest daughter of Bui Van Lien in Tho Dien Commune. After graduating from high school, she found jobs and did anything she could to help out. However, after Lien's wife died four years ago, Tham became angrier and lonelier. Sometimes, she would destroy furniture and scream at others.

Doctors diagnosed that she had depression. Despite being taken to many hospitals for the treatment, her condition has not improved.

Tham had an unwanted pregnancy and gave birth to a boy and she can’t recognise her son. Lien has to take care of the baby and the housework. The baby hasn't been breastfed since he was born.

According to Lien, some of their neighbours donated their money to buy milk for the baby.

Lien expressed his deep gratitude to donors for the donation from Dantri/DTiNews readers which will help the family to cover the treatment for Tham.
