Dantri transfers donations to frontline workers in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh

VND500m (USD21,600) donated to the Bac Giang Psychiatric Hospital

VND1.2bn has been donated to the frontline workers after a month. On June 19, Nguyen Xuan Toan, deputy editor-in-chief of Dantri, visited and transferred the donation to Bac Giang Psychiatric Hospital, Lung Hospital, Bac Ninh General Hospital and Bac Ninh CDC.

VND200m (USD8,600) was transferred to Bac Giang Lung Hospital from Dantri readers and VND500m (USD21,600) was donated to the Bac Giang Psychiatric Hospital by Dinh Vang Group and Nguyen Gia Thao Charity Fund.

Trinh Xuan Tuan, Bac Giang Psychiatric Hospital's director, said, "The ICU centre for Covid-19 patients in Bac Giang Psychiatric Hospital is treating 64 patients. Many of them are in serious condition and need ventilators."

The number of new Covid-19 cases in Bac Giang is decreasing. On June 19, Bac Giang reported 49 new cases.

  

VND300m (USD13,000) donated to Bac Ninh General Hospital

In Bac Ninh Province, Dantri representatives also transferred VND300m (USD13,000) to Bac Ninh General Hospital and VND200m to Bac Ninh CDC.

Ha Ba Chan, director of Bac Ninh General Hospital, said, "As of now, we have received and treated 370 Covid-19 patients. 70 patients are being treated at our hospital. 16 of them are in serious condition and three patients need ventilators."

The doctors also hold meetings with the Ministry of Health to find the best treatments for the patients. During the peak of the outbreak, Bac Ninh authorities took 120,000 samples a day for testing, 11,000 of which was sent to Bac Ninh CDC. Since the start of the latest outbreak, Bac Ninh authorities have collected over 1,5 million samples for testing.
