Dantri readers help completed a charity house for Dinh Thi Nho

Dinh Thi Nho and her daughter and her parents-in-law live in Ninh Khang Commune, Hoa Lu District. Her husband died in September 2019 and her 11-year-old son died in December 2020. The shocks left her mentally traumatised.

Many readers have called or visited her. The readers also donated over VND110m to Nho via Dantri. A doctor in Hanoi came to Nho’s house to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for her mental problems. Nho’s condition has improved.

In February, Hoa Lu District authorities helped build a new house for Nho's family. The new 60-square metre house cost VND300m (USD12,900). The funds were provided by Dantri readers, Hoa Lu District’s Social Security Fund, La Phu Football Club, Dinh Family Charity Fund and Ninh Khang Secondary School.

According to Vu Thi Phong Lan, chairwoman of Ninh Khang Commune People's Committee, Nho's family deposited VND50m for daily living expenses and use the rest to build the house.

Tran Ngoc Mac, Nho's father-in-law, said that for over 70 years of his life, he had never thought that he would have such a good house.

"Thanks to everyone that our family can have such joy," he said.
