However, the city’s bars are requested to ensure Covid-19 prevention regulations. All staff of bars are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. When facing Covid-19-suspected symptoms, they have to quickly report this to local medical stations for being tested.

The city's steering board for Covid-19 prevention and control has co-operated with local businesses to inspect Covid-19 prevention regulations.

Bars were the last businesses to be allowed to reopen in Hanoi. In May last year, the city reopened some non-essential services, including bars. However, just a short time after that, they shut again due to another Covid-19 wave.
