Authorities in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem District have revealed a plan to develop the banks along the Red River into a cultural and tourism park.

An art road is built in Phuc Tan Ward using recycled materials. The road has become a nice tourist spot in the area.

According to the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, the plan to build a cultural and tourism park along the Red River banks lies in a general development plan of the capital city by 2030 with a vision to 2050.

"We are going to renovate the area which is facing serious pollution and illegal encroachment and turn it into a tourist destination with open green space and modern facilities ," the committee said. "At present, we have encouraged people living around the area to join in protecting the environment of the river."

In 2020, Hoan Kiem District People's Committee successfully built an art road in Phuc Tan Ward using recycled materials. The road has become a nice tourist spot in the area.
