On April 13, a Dantri/DTiNews reporter and representatives from Vinh Loi District’s Red Cross handed over the house to Huynh Van Kiet’s family.

The house built for Kiet's family
The donations came after an article about the family was posted in the newspaper.
In May 2021 when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in HCM City, Kiet’s family had to return to their hometown in Bac Lieu. However, Kiet is suffering from a degenerative spine, so he can’t work much. He has to support three children.
The family had to live in a temporary house that was made of old fertilizer bags. The house could collapse at any time and his three children face the risk of dropping out of school.

The newspaper also granted VND30.74 million in cash to Kiet’s family on this occasion
Kiet’s wife Duong Kim Suong, said that their dream to have a new house had come true. She expressed her great thanks to Dantri/DTiNews readers.
