Calligraphy writing street attracts Hanoians

Diverse activities including a calligraphy writing festival have been held in Hanoi to introduce cultural characteristics of Hanoi ancient streets and celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).

Diverse activities including a calligraphy writing festival have been held in Hanoi to introduce cultural characteristics of Hanoi ancient streets and celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival (Tet). 

Calligrapher Le Quoc Viet from Hanoi Young Calligraphers Club said calligraphy writing activities at the Temple of Literature will be prepared carefully as from this year in order to preserve Vietnam’s spiritual value and unique culture.

The festival will run through to March 8 and welcome visitors from 8am to 8pm every day. Particularly, calligraphy writing activities will last till 2am on New Year’s Eve and till 10pm on the first and second day of the first lunar month.
