The Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration reported that the bomb, which is around 2-2.5 metres long, was detected in the Red River in Ngoc Thuy Ward in Hanoi’s Long Bien District on November 24 by local people. The bomb, which is believed to have been left from the American War, is some five metres from pier 13 of Long Bien Bridge.
The bomb is recovered on November 28
Local authorities and waterways police have cordoned off the bomb area to ensure traffic.
