Vinh Phuc provincial People’s Committee has announced a new outbreak of bird flu in Tam Quan commune, Tam Dao district, and the locality is deploying urgent measures to fight this disease.
From February 10-16, many poultry in Tam Quan commune showed symptoms of infection with A/H5N1 virus.
Vinh Phuc provincial Health Department said the main cause was some households raising ducks didn’t destroy sick poultry and threw them untidily to the environment, spreading the disease to other poultry.
The provincial People’s Committee has directed to establish 9 checking points in Tam Quan commune and carried out measures to quarantine infected areas and sterilize breeding farms.
