Thanh Hoa authorities have announced stricter preventive measures for the Tet Holiday. State agencies were asked to not hold year-end and new-year parties as well as other crowded events. The public was asked to limit travelling and visiting each other during Tet.

Thanh Hoa also scrapped a firework display. The money will be channelled to help disadvantaged people celebrate Tet.

On February 9, H'Yim Kdoh, vice chairwoman of Dak Lak People's Committee signed an official document about Covid-19 preventive measures for Tet Holiday. People who returned from locked-down areas in Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Gia Lai and other provinces and cities must fill in the medical declaration forms and self-isolate for 14 days. Those who returned from other areas were asked to limit travelling and meeting with other people and installing the Bluezone App.

Indoor events such as weddings, year-end parties and birthday parties with more than 20 people are banned. The border guards continue to maintain eight checkpoints along the Cambodia-Vietnam border to monitor the people and vehicles that travel in and out of the province.

3,497 people are being quarantined in Dak Lak. Five people are staying at medical facilities, 45 people at quarantine centres, and 3,447 people are home isolated. Leaders of state agencies were asked to not travel outside of Dak Lak before, during and after Tet to focus on Covid-19 prevention.
