Anh Vien wins bronze medal at FINA Swimming World Cup

Vietnam’s top female swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien on August 11 clinched a bronze medal in the final of the women’s 200m individual medley at the FINA Swimming World Cup 2015 which is taking place in Moscow, Russia.

The 18-year-old girl brought glory to Vietnam’s swimming history at the international competition arena after finishing third in 2min12.33 sec.

In the women’s 200 individual medley final results, Katinka Hosszu from Hungary won a gold medal in 2min 10.68 sec while Hungarian Zsuzsanna Jakobos ranked second in 2min: 12.15 sec.

The same day, the Vietnamese top female swimmer also participated in the 200m free style but only ranked 19th out of 26 and failed to pass the qualifying round. Anh Vien will compete in the final of the 400 individual medley category on August 12.
