Thirty people who were quarantined for 21 days in Hanoi after returning from Wuhan City, China have been released.

The information was given by Dr. Pham Ngoc Thach, director of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases where the quarantine was conducted.

The people include six children being from eight months old to 14 years old and a woman in the 39th week of pregnancy.

According to Thach, after that being discharged, the people will undergo another quarantine of 14 days at their home and be closely monitored by local medical preventive force.

Meanwhile, the 15-member flight crew and three doctors who accompanied them on the flight from Wuhan City to Vietnam were quarantined for 14 days as they wore safety clothes.

Nguyen Phuong Thao, 25, in Tien Giang Province said expressed her great thanks to the considerable medical care during the isolation period.

Thao has a Chinese husband. Before the Tet holiday, she and her daughter came to Wuhan City with her husband. Just five days after that, Wuhan City was isolated due to the coronavirus outbreak.

"Every day, we had two temperature checks and were provided with three good meals worth a total around VND100,000 (USD4.34) per day. Her little daughter was also given soup," Thao said.

Thao added that doctors did not mind answering many questions related to the epidemic.

Nguyen Thi Thanh, 27, from Bac Ninh was a special case as she is in the 39th week of pregnancy.

“I was arranged to stay in a separate room with all medical equipment ready for my delivery. The hospital even prepared an incubator in case of my premature labour," Thanh noted.
