This was one of Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ first activities to introduce Vietnam to the world after he was appointed as Vietnam’s tourism ambassador in March this year.
Edwards is famous for directing the 2014 Godzilla reboot and the epic 2016 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The two directors flew by seaplane for the trip to see the beauty of the bay from 150 metres.
Ha Long Bay was among the locations for Kong: Skull Island along with those in Quang Binh and Ninh Binh provinces.
Earlier March this year, Jordan Vogt-Roberts was appointed as Vietnam’s tourism ambassador for his efforts to promote the country’s beauty through Kong: Skull Island.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts said that he planned to invite Hollywood film directors and producers to Vietnam to explore the country’s landscapes.
The two directors talked to each other before starting the tour over Ha Long Bay on June 6.
