The Su30 MK2 fleet peform at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2022.
The information was released at a press conference held in Hanoi on November 15.
According to the Ministry of National Defence, the event's organiser, the exhibition will take place at Gia Lam Airport on the outskirts of Hanoi from December 19-22 as part of the activities to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.
Speaking at the press conference, Major General Le Ngoc Than, Political Chief of the General Department of Defence Industry, said that this is the second time Vietnam has organised the expo, and it would be a much larger event with more exhibitors and activities than the first one held in 2022.
"The exhibition will offer opportunities to connect defence forces, defence cooperation agencies, military trade organisations, and defence industry manufacturers and suppliers," the organiser said. "Exhibits on display include combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment for the navy, army, air defense-air force, cyber operations, and logistics. The opening ceremony will include aerial displays by the air force, martial arts performances, and special troops demonstrations."
The public will have free access to the exhibition from the afternoon of December 21 to December 22.
