Vietravel Airlines surpasses revenue target

Vietravel Airlines, a subsidiary of tour operator Viettravel, posted a total revenue of VND491.20 billion (USD19.64 million) in the first quarter of this year, up 42 percent on-year.

In March alone, the carrier saw revenues of VND172.30 billion, up 54 percent on-year.

Between January and March, the firm made a net profit of VND10.1 billion.

Vietravel Airlines has set a goal to achieve a revenue of VND1.04 trillion in the second quarter of this year.

Vietravel Airlines is expanding its air routes and increasing its flight frequency for both domestic and overseas routes.

It will provide around 10 charter flights linking HCM City and Danang to Japan until the end of April. Meanwhile, the airline has also continued operating more charter flights to Bangkok in Thailand, South Korea and Taiwan.
