Two travellers receive belongings left on trains

Vietnamese rail workers returned items to two foreign passengers who had left their belongings on local trains.

According to the Vietnam Railway Corporation, a male passenger booked a private sleeper cabin on the SP4 train on the Lao Cai-Hanoi route on Monday morning. However, when exiting the train, he left behind a black backpack with a passport, headphones, an iPod, and USD439 and AUD190 inside.

The SP4 train captain, Pham Quang Chien, contacted the passenger and returned the property to him at Hanoi Station.

At around 1 pm on Monday, a staff member on train SE4 on the HCM City-Danang railway route found a passenger's bag left on the train. The bag contained VND15.7 million (USD620), 100 euros, 30,800 Cambodian riels (USD7.5), one passport and five visa cards.

The train captain, Tran Xuan Tra, contacted the representative of the travel company in which the passenger booked the service to return the forgotten property.
