This is his second face-to-face meeting with the FDI enterprise community this year.
Pham also promised to accompany foreign-invested enterprises to overcome challenges and maintain long-term investment in Viet Nam.
He pledged that economic relations will not be criminalized but fines will be imposed on those who violate laws in order to create a transparent, open, healthy and sustainable business environment.
The Prime Minister affirmed that Viet Nam will consistently pursue its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation and development as well as its "four nos" defense policy which means: (i) no partaking in military alliances, (ii) no siding with one country to act against another, (iii) no foreign military bases in the Vietnamese territory or using Viet Nam as leverage to counteract other countries, and (iv) no using force or threatening to use force in international relations.
The Southeast Asian country is also keen on building an independent and resilient economy in association with broad and deep international integration while accelerating the implementation of three strategic breakthroughs namely institutional development, human resource development, and infrastructure development.
Pham urged ministries, agencies and localities to continue efforts in building a favorable and highly competitive business environment; reviewing and perfecting foreign investment cooperation policies; reducing costs for businesses; timely addressing requests by foreign investors in a sincere manner.
As of September 2023, Viet Nam had lured US$455 billion in 38,300 projects from 144 countries and territories./.
