A deeply flooded are in Quang Ninh Province
As of Friday morning, the storm has weakened into a low-pressure area, causing downpours in the northern region.
In Haiphong City, many streets were deeply submerged on the morning of August 26. Many trees were uprooted. Some schools remained closed to ensure student safety.
In Quang Ninh Province, heavy rains have caused the Tien Yen River’s water level to rise, flooding many roads in Tien Yen District.
Some villages in Tien Lang Commune have been isolated due to flooding.
National Road 18A in Cam Pha City was deeply inundated, blocking traffic.
Authorities in Quang Ninh have evacuated people in flood-prone areas in some districts including, Binh Lieu, Dam Ha, Hai Ha, Tien Yen, and Mong Cai City.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, there is a high risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous provinces and flooding in low-lying areas such as Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Bac Giang.
