On Saturday morning, a nine-boat race took place on the Truong Giang River in Thang Binh District.

In the third lap, the Phuoc A Village boat suddenly collided with another on the river, causing it to capsize. As a result, all 13 rowers on board were thrown into the water.
The accident left two people with minor injuries, who were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, another rower, 37, sustained serious injuries and was sent to Quang Nam General Hospital for intensive care but passed away shortly after.
On Saturday, the southern province of Dong Nai also held a boat race on the Dong Nai River, featuring eight teams.
One boat carrying 12 rowers accidentally sank. Fortunately, they were promptly rescued, and no one was injured.
