The northern province of Lang Son has approved a VND11.2-trillion (USD462.81 million) highway project.
The 60-kilometre highway connects Huu Nghi Border Gate with Chi Lang District, including 43.43 kilometres of the Huu Nghi Border Gate-Chi Lang section and a 16.44-km section linking Tan Thanh with Coc Nam border gates.
The six-lane road will have 24 bridges and cover a total area of 640 hectares. Once operated, it will help to connect the Nanning (China) - Lang Son - Haiphong - Quang Ninh economic corridor to form a trans-Asia economic corridor.
It will also help link the Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway and promote Lang Son’s sustainable socio-economic development.
The project’s investor is set to be chosen in the first quarter of next year.
