Five Chinese men found illegally entering Vietnam

Five Chinese men were found illegally crossing the border into Vietnam, aiming to proceed onto Cambodia and Thailand.

On October 30, the group including Lu Yu Wen, Fan Fei, Lui Xiao Bing, Ha Jia Long, and Zou Wen Jie travelled to Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfalls, located between Vietnam’s Cao Bang Province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Three Vietnamese guided the group through a jungle path, using a wooden raft to cross the river and enter Vietnam.

After entering Vietnam, the Chinese men were picked up by Vietnamese individuals and driven inland. When they came to Phu My District in the southern central province of Binh Dinh, the local police stopped them. At the police station, the group confessed that they had illegally entered Vietnam with the ultimate goal of reaching Cambodia and Thailand.

During the investigation, authorities found that one of the five Chinese citizens, Lu Yu Wen, was a fugitive wanted by the Chinese police.

On Wednesday morning, Binh Dinh police handed Lu Yu Wen over to the Chinese authorities and deported the other four.
