Vietnam was named the world’s leading heritage destination and the world’s leading nature island destination, while Phu Quoc Sunset Town won the title of the world’s leading iconic tourist attraction.
Bai Kem Beach in Phu Quoc was recognised as the world’s leading regional beach, and Tam Dao was named the world’s leading town destination. Moc Chau was honoured as the world’s leading natural destination.
A major highlight was the recognition of the UNESCO Global Geopark Dong Van Karst Plateau in Tuyen Quang Province, as the world’s leading cultural destination 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City won two regional titles: Asia’s leading festival and event destination and Asia’s leading business travel destination. Hanoi received awards for Asia’s leading city destination and Asia’s leading city break destination, while Hoi An was named Asia’s leading cultural city.
Other winners included Ninh Binh, Vung Tau, Moc Chau and Phu Quoc, which received several additional regional honours.
The ceremony brought together tourism organisations, government officials, business representatives and media from more than 100 countries and territories. Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards is regarded as one of the global tourism industry’s top recognition systems, highlighting service excellence and destination appeal.
