Despite her young age, Nguyen Thao is already recognised as a standout in the world of academic ballet. Affectionately known as the "dandelion" of the classical performing arts, she has taken on leading roles in major productions at the Hanoi Opera House, including Paquita (2023) and The Nutcracker (2024).
Beginning her ballet journey at the tender age of three, Nguyen Thao has gone on to amass an impressive list of accolades. Her achievements include a special gold prize at the Asia-Pacific Arts Festival in 2018, a silver prize at the Asian Arts Festival in 2019, and a bronze prize at the Asian Youth Arts Festival Online in 2020, along with numerous team awards at international competitions.
The International Ballet Grand Prix (IBGP) represents the first and only ballet competition supported by both the National Arts Council of Singapore and the Singapore Ballet.
