Dam Hai Van, director of the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, said the incidents occurred amid strong waves along coastal sections of Tran Phu and Nguyen Chanh streets. All victims were detected early and brought safely back to shore, with no casualties reported.

Authorities urged residents and visitors to follow safety warnings and avoid swimming during bad weather and rough seas to prevent accidents.
Coastal waters off Khanh Hoa on January 9 saw scattered showers and thunderstorms, with northeasterly winds at force 6-7, gusting up to 8-9. Seas were rough, with waves of 2.5-3.5 metres.
The Nha Trang Bay Management Board said it has deployed more lifeguards along the Pham Van Dong and Tran Phu beachfronts, arranged into teams to conduct regular patrols and warn swimmers.
