Located about 170 km from Hanoi, Pu Luong is one of Thanh Hoa’s best-known eco-tourism destinations, stretching mainly across Co Lung and Pu Luong communes, an area famed for its pristine mountains, terraced fields and Thai and Muong ethnic villages.

In mid-November, dense mist blanketed the area, creating a scene many visitors say it is as beautiful as Sapa.

Local residents noted that fog arrived earlier this year than usual.

From above, Pu Luong appears cloaked in a mystical veil, with terraced rice fields and village clusters fading into the white mist.

Homestays tucked along the terraces add to the serene landscape.

Travelling to Pu Luong at this time offers not only misty mountain views but also a deep sense of stillness.

The area has become increasingly popular with foreign tourists seeking quiet retreats. In one scene, two visitors stroll along village paths to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Pu Luong Peak, at 1,700 metres above sea level, offers views of clouds drifting over the slopes.

From around 5 pm, heavy fog reduces visibility on roads leading into the area, forcing vehicles to slow down and switch on headlights.
