The welcoming ceremony was organised by the Lang Son Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre, signalling the province’s efforts to promote cross-border travel and attract foreign visitors.
One of the tourists, Wei Xuefang from China’s Hainan Province, said choosing Lang Son for a New Year trip was a memorable experience, adding that she was impressed by Vietnam’s natural scenery and hospitality.

In 2025, Lang Son welcomed more than 4.4 million visitors, including over 300,000 foreigners, generating about VND 4.5 trillion (USD 173 million) in tourism revenue, while earning two ASEAN tourism awards and UN Tourism recognition for Quynh Son village.
Bordering China along 231.7 kilometres, Lang Son operates both road and rail international border gates and identifies cross-border tourism as a key pillar of its tourism development strategy, while stepping up cooperation with Guangxi to expand visitor flows.
