The Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held on December 30 a ceremony to welcome its 10 millionth visitor who landed on a Vietnam Airlines flight VN1573 departing Hanoi at Lien Khuong Airport at 8.50 am.
Leaders of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee present gifts to Nguyen Dang Dung who is the 10 millionth visitor to the province this year on December 30, 2024.
Speaking about the event, Tran Hong Thai, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said that this was the remarkable achievement of Lam Dong tourism.
"We've achieved this growth thanks to our great efforts in improving infrastructure and service quality, diversifying tourism products, and bringing a safe and friendly tourism environment to our visitors," he said.
Statistics from the committee showed that the number of visitors to Lam Dong increased by 15.60 percent against last year's figures. The province received 9.40 million domestic and approximately 600,000 international tourists, up 13.90 percent and 50 percent, respectively, compared to 2023.
