Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation handed over on January 25 the landscaped site at 8 Vo Van Tan Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, to local authorities for management ahead of the 2026 Lunar New Year or Tet.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City chairman, Nguyen Van Duoc, described the project as highly meaningful, saying it marked the New Year and the successful National Party Congress. He urged local authorities to preserve and maintain the greenery for public use.

Completed in about 20 days, the park provides a new green space for recreation and exercise, featuring large shade trees, forest species and ornamental plants alongside shrubs, flowers and turf.

Seasonal flower beds and festive decorations have been installed, creating a lively holiday atmosphere.

The horse mascot family has proved especially popular with children. Fitness and sports facilities have also been added, with further amenities to be installed based on feedback from local residents, the developer said.

“I’m really excited to have a green area right in front of my university where we can relax and socialise,” said Dang Doan Khanh Ngoc, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.

With its modern layout, the site is expected to become a multi-functional community hub for recreation and relaxation, particularly for young people and nearby students, while awaiting construction of a new indoor stadium.
