Passengers on a Citytour bus in Hanoi
According to the Hanoi Transport Management and Operation Centre, the suspension will apply to routes 24, 23, 31, 38, 09B, 34, 55, 41, 146, 159, 144, EOS, E07, E08, 4316, E11 and the Citytour 01, 02 and 03, starting from the first full rehearsal on August 21.
In addition, the city will adjust the itineraries of 56 other routes during the traffic redirection.
The Cat Linh-Ha Dong and Nhon-Cau Giay metro lines will extend operating hours with a 10-minute interval from August 21. On September 2, both lines will run continuously from midnight to 10 pm, with trains every six minutes during peak hours.
The official parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place at Ba Dinh Square and several central streets from 6.30 am on September 2.
Rehearsals are scheduled at 8 pm on August 21 and 24, a preliminary review at 8 pm on August 27 and a final rehearsal at 6.30 am on August 30.
