The show will begin at 10 pm at the F1 Racetrack in Tu Liem Ward, featuring 300 high-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude launchers. The VND 1 billion (approximately USD 39,200) cost will be covered by private sponsorship.
Earlier, the city also announced plans to hold fireworks displays at five locations on the evening of September 2, including Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake.
A grand ceremony and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place at 6.30 am on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and on several main streets in central Hanoi.
An estimated 30,000 people are expected to attend, not including participants in the parade and march.
