Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, founded in 1907, is an international luxury hospitality brand with a long history in the United States and beyond. Its arrival in Hanoi signals growing investor confidence in Vietnam’s high-end tourism segment.
The hotel features 241 rooms, including 38 Fairmont Gold rooms and 12 suites. Each room is designed with views over the Old Quarter and tree-lined streets.
The property offers eight restaurants, bars and lounges serving Vietnamese, Italian and Japanese cuisine. It also includes extensive event facilities, with a ballroom of 1,100 square metres, currently the largest in Hoan Kiem Ward. A wellness area spans 3,500 square metres, with 10 treatment rooms and a gym.
Room rates listed on booking platforms range from VND 10 million to over VND 30 million per night, depending on room category.

The opening not only marks the presence of a new luxury brand in the capital but also broadens accommodation choices for high-end visitors, particularly business travellers.
Vietnam’s tourism sector has rebounded strongly in recent years. In 2025, the country welcomed 21.2 million international visitors and more than 135 million domestic travellers, generating over VND 1 quadrillion in revenue.
As international arrivals continue to rise, demand for high-quality accommodation, especially in the luxury segment, has intensified. High-end travellers increasingly expect personalised experiences, absolute privacy and internationally standardised service.
Vietnam is widely seen as having strong potential to become a leading destination for affluent international travellers, supported by its distinctive culture, diverse cuisine and expanding portfolio of world-class hotels and resorts.
At the opening ceremony, Nguyen Trung Khanh, head of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, said the launch of Fairmont Hanoi reflects strong confidence among global investors and hotel operators in the country’s tourism prospects and Hanoi’s position as a key destination.
