The independent assessment said the terminal continued to deliver strong service quality across key areas, including space, waiting areas, cleanliness, passenger information systems, amenities and digital experience.

However, Skytrax warned that increasing passenger volumes, particularly during peak hours, could affect service standards without timely infrastructure expansion.
Designed to handle four million passengers annually, the international terminal served more than 6.8 million in 2025, exceeding capacity by over 70 per cent. Operator Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC is planning to expand capacity to six million passengers a year.
Deputy general director Do Trong Hau said maintaining the 5 star rating for three consecutive years was both an achievement and a responsibility.
“With strong passenger growth, pressure on infrastructure and service quality is increasing. Expanding T2 is essential not only to meet demand but also to sustain international standards and uphold Danang’s image as a global gateway,” he said.
The 2026 report also highlighted improvements in customs operations, with shorter queues and greater efficiency. Congestion has been reduced, and the flexible opening of additional lanes during peak periods was highly rated, reflecting improved coordination between the operator and customs authorities.
London based Skytrax, founded in 1989, is a leading global aviation consultancy known for its airline and airport rating system.
