Thong Nhat Hill eco-resort project is using more than 64 ha of protected forest in Lam Vien-Dalat Ward in Lam Dong Province.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has published an environmental impact assessment of the Thong Nhat Hill eco-resort in Lam Vien-Dalat Ward, Lam Dong Province, for public consultation. The report shows the project first obtained its investment registration certificate in 2017, and was amended in 2022. It involves 64.22 hectares of environment-protection forest land, including 40.47 ha of natural forest, over 9 ha of planted forest and 14.43 ha of bare land without tree cover.
The total site covers 70.50 hectares, with total investment of VND 498 billion (about USD 18.9 million). The developer plans to build commercial-service areas, souvenir shops, entertainment zones and resort lodgings.
The report says that construction will be placed on vacant land only and will avoid cutting existing forest trees, in line with Government regulations.
To manage the remaining natural forest, the developer promises to set up a forest protection team of four staff to patrol regularly and detect illegal intruders. Additional personnel will be stationed 24/7 at high-risk spots vulnerable to illegal logging or forest fires.
The technical infrastructure works and buildings are scheduled to start between March and December 2026, with the resort expected to open commercially in April 2027.
