The soft purple pink hues of the cherry blossoms set against lush green tea hills have created a striking and romantic scene.

Combined with Dalat’s cool and fresh climate, the scenery has delighted both locals and visitors.

Vo Cao Thuy Huyen, a tourist from Quang Ngai Province, said she learned through media channels that Dalat’s cherry blossoms had started to bloom and arranged time off to travel with family and friends.

Huyen said she felt very happy to immerse herself in the blossom filled atmosphere of the city.

According to local residents, the cherry blossom trees on the Cau Dat tea hills were planted about 30 years ago to mark tea plots and enhance roadside landscapes. The trees usually shed their leaves in late October and bloom around the new year period.

The cherry blossom season also signals the arrival of the most pleasant weather of the year in Dalat.

The blooming period typically lasts several weeks and attracts many photographers seeking natural beauty.

Beyond the Cau Dat tea hills, cherry blossom trees along several central streets in Dalat have also begun to flower, giving visitors more opportunities to enjoy the seasonal spectacle.
