Travel blogger, Le Thu Hang, 40, discovered Mui Treo by chance. During one of her trips, she and her group decided to visit the area and were immediately captivated by its wild, unspoiled beauty.

According to Hang, Mui Treo is ideal for those who want to escape urban life and reconnect with nature.

Mui Treo is located in Huong Bac Hamlet, Vinh Kim Commune, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province. Travellers can take a coach, private car, or motorbike to Vinh Linh District to get there. From there, they can rent a motorbike or bicycle and follow smaller paths to reach Mui Treo.

This destination remains relatively untouched, with very few tourist or commercial developments. Because of this, Mui Treo has preserved its raw beauty, with steep rocky cliffs, strange rock formations sculpted by nature, narrow trails through lush green forests, and fresh, quiet air.

The beach is wide and deserted, surrounded by mountains and the sea. The most popular check-in spot in Mui Treo is the cluster of natural rock cliffs that rise dramatically above the sea, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean. Walking along the beach, visitors will find moss-covered rocks that look like paintings.

The area features white sandy beaches and green mossy rocks, creating a truly unique and striking scene.

Thu Hang shared that when visiting Mui Treo, one should take time to explore and photograph every corner, from the serene sandy shores to the mossy rocks; each scene offers a sense of peace and relaxation.

"This place has emerald green waters and soft white sand. With such beauty, it's a shame that Mui Treo has not yet earned a worthy place on the tourism map," Hang remarked.

For her camping trip in Mui Treo, Hang travelled to nearby Cua Tung town to rent camping gear, motorbikes, bicycles, and other essentials, all at very affordable prices.

"I rented a large tent for three people for just VND 150,000. It even came with a tarp and thermal mat, which was very convenient. I also rented a bicycle for VND 20,000 per day and a motorbike for VND 100,000 per day. Everything was reasonably priced, if not downright cheap."

Hang and her friends pitched their tent right on the sandy beach.

Many campers in Mui Treo choose to pitch tents on the peak, but Hang's group opted to camp closer to the shoreline. About 1 km from Mui Treo, a path leads down to the beach, with small food stalls, restrooms, and free parking available.

Aside from the tranquil nature and relaxing atmosphere, Hang was also charmed by the local cuisine in Mui Treo and the wider Vinh Linh area.

"A bowl of Vinh Linh turmeric noodles costs only VND 10,000, and grilled pork noodles are just VND 20,000. Seafood like scallops, oysters, and clams is fresh, sweet, and incredibly cheap. Our whole group ate until we were stuffed, and it only cost VND 290,000," Hang shared.

She also noted that the biggest expense of their trip was the coach ticket from Hanoi to Cua Tung, which cost VND 400,000 per person. All other camping and food costs were budget-friendly.

After exploring Mui Treo, visitors can visit nearby attractions such as Cua Tung Beach, Vinh Moc Tunnels, and Mui Lay Lighthouse.

"After camping, don't forget to clean up the area to help preserve the beauty of this place," Hang reminded.
