Tens of thousands of people stood along Hanoi's streets to bid a final farewell to Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday afternoon.
After the memorial service held for General Secretary Trong at the National Funeral Hall at 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi at 1 pm, the casket of the party leader was carried to Mai Dich Cemetery for the burial service.
The streets along the way were lined with citizens who waited to say goodbye to the late Party leader.
The burial service was held at 3 pm the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi's Cau Giay District.
