Despite parking banning signs, the D400 Street in front of the hospital has seen lots of cars left on the road, hindering traffic flows.
A local resident, Xuan Huong, said that she always feels stressed when going to work on the street every day.
"The traffic situation in front of the hospital is always terrible," she said. "Cars are stopped and parked illegally along the street, causing serious congestion, especially during rush hours.
A public bus driver, Nguyen Van Vinh, also complains that he often faces difficulties dropping and taking passengers at a bus stop near the hospital.
"Sometimes people park their car too close to the bus stop, making it difficult for us to move in to drop or take passengers on the D400 Street which is just 500-metre long," Vinh said.
A taxi driver, Tran Duy Hung, said that he sometimes parks his taxi on the D400 road to wait for passengers.
"I've had to pay fines several times but it's easy to get passengers here," he said.
Besides the D400 Streets, many other lanes around the hospital are also facing illegal car parking.
A representative of Thu Duc Police Department admitted that illegal parking is a problem in the area despite their efforts to combat it.
"The hospital has a parking lot but many people, who are mostly taxi drivers and relatives of patients, just leave their vehicles along the road," the department's representative said. "We're conducting daily patrols and issuing fines against them but the problems are still going on."
The department said that they're working with the hospital to find proper measures to tackle the problem.
