Speaking to Dantri/Dtinews, Quynh Nga shared: "This passion started four months ago when my husband and I were looking for gifts for our two children. Unexpectedly, I became fascinated with the world of art toys."
Quynh Nga does not set specific goals for her collection. She simply wants to own beautiful pieces that bring her joy and hold sentimental value.
The unique and meticulously crafted designs draw her into the world of art toys. Each character is carefully created with a story, adding depth and meaning.
Her family supports Quynh Nga's passion. Her husband accompanies her and provides financial support for her hobby. Their two children are equally excited whenever their parents add new toys to the collection.
According to Quynh Nga, every art toy character carries a story created by the artist, adding an artistic dimension to the collection. Her favourite character is Hirono.
"Hirono reflects our childhood, a mischievous child who grows up with an imaginative world of play. However, the character also embodies deep sadness as he is abandoned, forced to hide, and curls inside a tiny lunch box. It's truly heart-wrenching," she shared.
Recalling her most memorable experience collecting art toys, Quynh Nga revealed that her husband once waited four hours in Thailand to buy her a special edition art toy as a gift.
"That toy may not be the most expensive one, but it is the most valuable to me," she said.
Investing in passion is never a mistake

To display this extensive collection, Quynh Nga and her husband have had custom-designed display cases made. They carefully arrange the toys with added lighting and wiring. Although the decoration costs were high, she believes it enhances the value of her passion.
She admits this hobby is expensive, having spent around VND500 million on it. "It's my passion, so it doesn't matter," she said.
Quynh Nga notes that secret edition figures in each art toy set are always the most sought-after by collectors.
She is delighted to see Vietnam's art toy collector community growing rapidly. She has connected with many new friends through social media groups and helped spread positive energy within this artistic trend.
"We didn't know each other before, but now we chat daily, sharing information about new products. Having friends with the same passion makes the experience even more meaningful," Quynh Nga expressed.
