Women football team trains in Germany, Poland
Vietnam’s women’s football team left Hanoi on Monday for a training programme in Germany and Poland.
The flight is scheduled to land at Frankfurt International Airport at around 5:15 pm local time on the same day.
The trip is a key activity to prepare for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup slated to take place in New Zealand and Australia from July 20 to August 20.
The team will stay in Frankfurt Germany and Warsaw Poland until June 21.
The Vietnamese players will come to Poland on June 17 and play Poland’s women’s U23s on June 19.
In Germany, the team of Coach Mai Duc Chung will have a friendly match with Eintracht Frankfurt FC on June 10 and Short Mainz FC on June 15. They will also meet Germany’s national women’s team in another friendly game on June 24.
Vietnam has been named in Group E and will face the US on July 22, Portugal on July 27 and the Netherlands on August 1.
