Nguyen Van Khang, 82, and his 81-year-old wife Tran Thi Truong, have to take care of their two disabled daughters aged 49 and 37 in their dilapidated house in Thai Hoa Town.

The mother shared that both of her daughters were born blind and had congenital limb defects so they can't walk.

"We'd tried to take them to many hospitals seeking treatment for them but their conditions couldn't improve much," she said. "So we've become their eyes and legs over the past 50 years."

The father said that he and his wife have five children. While these two daughters were disabled, three others faced financial difficulties and were struggling to support their own families.

"Besides the modest allowances for disabled people, we've tried to do odd jobs to earn money to support our two daughters," he said.

"Now we're worried as both my and my wife's health are deteriorating while my daughters' conditions are worsening. How will they live if we die?"

Speaking with Dantri/Dtinews, vice chairman of Thai Hoa Town People's Committee, Dinh The Vinh, said that Truong's family were in need of help to support their disabled daughters.

"I hope that they will receive support," he said.
